Today is Thanksgiving. It’s a good day to reflect on what we need to be grateful for, and believe me, I’m the Queen of sappiness, especially this time of year. I am sincerely thankful for each and every person who reads my blog, who take time to comment, to agree and to disagree. I am thankful for a healthy and happy family, more special friends than a person deserves, a job I love, colleagues that I enjoy and who keep me challenged. I am also thankful for my fellow bloggers who teach me, keep me in check, and who support me unconditionally. And, I’m thankful that I have so many people support my crazy ideas and events.
But, there is one special person I want to tell you I’m thankful for today….my little sister.
Karen Leigh is honestly the best sis ever. To say we’re close is an understatement. She often knows me better than I know myself. We’ve had joy and sorrow through our lives and she’s the glue that keeps me together. Today I recognize her because she was born on Thanksgiving 35 years ago….well, that year it was technically about 8 minutes before Thanksgiving, but close enough. What better gift to receive on that day than a life-long friend and confidant.
I love you Karen and I am thankful for you each and every day. Happy 35th birthday!

Trish – I enjoyed your heartfelt very genuine reflection on what really matters, relationships. Happy Thanksgiving =)
Very nice. This type of personal post is one of the things that make blogs so compelling. Thanks. He is a link to my brother’s presentation 🙂 http://management.curiouscatblog.net/2010/05/17/combinatorial-testing-the-quadrant-of-massive-efficiency-gains/ This presentation expands on the work my father did. I am very thankful both of us had the chance to learn and now apply his ideas ourselves.
