Networking Lessons From The Smoking Lounge

So, I had an interesting conversation with my assistant this morning.  She had just returned from the smoking lounge in our building.  She told me she loves going there not just because she can smoke (obvious reason to go) but because she can sit and chat with people from all levels of the company with no barriers.  Smoking equalizes everyone.

Could she be on to something big??  If companies promote smoking would we get rid of the “glass ceiling” or any barriers that prevent people and teams from working together?

Nah…I didn’t think so.  🙂
