I was an early adopter of Pinterest, which really means I opened an account. I have to admit, I was not an active daily or even weekly user for a long time. Now that it has gained popularity and people are pinning more business-related information, I’m finding it much more useful.
Not only am I finding good information on the site, I have also been using it to organize information I want to save from other sites. This is helpful when doing research, finding topics to write about, or saving items I don’t have time to read but want to come back to later.
I plan to share my “top finds” each week as a way to encourage use of the platform and share some great information. For this week, the business pins that grabbed my attention covered topics such as retention, efficiency, social media, performance and training.
Top 5 Pins Of The Week
- Work Smarter, Not Harder
- Why Top Talent Leave Their Jobs
- Eye catching business cards
- What It Takes To Be a Social Media Strategist
- How To Train Employees To Handle Social Media

I love this tip from the “Work Smarter, Not Harder” infographic – take 5 minutes to respond to an email. Sometimes I find myself responding to emails too quickly and wish I could go back and reword or rethink what I wrote. Thanks for sharing.
