 One exciting part of being part of the online HR community is having the opportunity to meet and network with some smart, innovative HR pros.  Jessica Miller-Merrell is one of those people.

I first “met” Jessica on Twitter and began building our relationship there.  That led to her company, Xceptional HR, becoming one of the sponsors for HRevolution last November.  Xceptional HR provides businesses with social media, recruitment strategies, and human resources consulting.  In addition to her consulting practice, Jessica is the host of a job-seeker show on, she’s a new mom, a speaker, and now adding published author to the list.

Tweet This! Twitter for Business‘ is her new book.  According to Jessica, the book encourages professionals to follow what she refers to as the Social Media Mullet Rule when using Twitter for branding.  A Tweet This! launch party is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sapphire Bar & Grill, located at 208 East Sheridan Avenue in Oklahoma City.  Copies of the book can be purchased at, $19.95 for the paperback version and $14.95 for the e-book.
